What this site is and is not

DeviceClearance is an independent, unofficial index of public FDA data — 510(k) clearances, recalls, and adverse-event reports sourced from openFDA. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the FDA or any government agency. It is not medical advice, regulatory advice, or legal advice, and does not replace consultation with a qualified regulatory affairs professional or attorney.

We do not certify, approve, or vouch for any device or company. A device appearing on this site carries no implied endorsement. Always verify current status against the FDA's own systems before making a clinical, purchasing, or regulatory decision.

Accuracy and no warranty

We ingest data from openFDA on a regular schedule and aim for it to be current, but FDA records can be updated, corrected, or reclassified after we last synced. A page's data reflects the state of the source at the time of the most recent ingestion, not real time.

The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Press Pause Garage LLC, the site, its authors, and its contributors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of or reliance on the site, including a decision made from a listing, a missed recall, or reliance on out-of-date data. If liability is found despite this limitation, aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid to use the site, which is zero. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Affiliate disclosure

DeviceClearance is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Affiliate links are marked in-line with a small "aff" tag. We only recommend items we believe are genuinely relevant to the page they appear on; the affiliate relationship does not change the FDA data displayed.

Outbound links

Third-party sites — including openFDA, Amazon, and any source or resource we link to — have their own terms, privacy practices, and content, for which we are not responsible. A link does not make us responsible for the destination.

Using our content

The site's original writing, presentation, and compiled indexing work are owned by Press Pause Garage LLC. You may quote limited passages with attribution and a link. You may not republish pages, scrape, or systematically reproduce the compiled index without permission. The underlying FDA data is a public federal dataset and is not owned by us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Marion County, Florida, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means acceptance of the revised terms.
